Rabid skunk, fox found, county says

The Atlantic County Division of Public Health announced two confirmed
cases of rabies Friday, but reported no human contact with either of the infected animals.

Balance of Nature, Inc. of Tuckerton NJ was hired to collect the
cases, a fox collected Nov. 8 from the Atlantic City Country Club on Shore
Road in Northfield and a skunk collected on Nov. 12 from a residential property on South Frankfurt Avenue in Galloway Township, bring the total cases of rabies in Atlantic County this year to six County Health Officer Patricia Diamond said.
